Capital. Industry. Innovation. Collaboration.

About us

Space Sweden’s goal is to accelerate commercialisation and strategic collaboration across Sweden’s space sector. Our vision is for Sweden to become one of Europe’s leading and most innovative nations in the space economy and to build the highest concentration of space unicorns per capita in the world within the next decade.

Space Sweden was founded by four leading deep-tech and space incubators from all corners of Sweden; Ideon in Lund, Innovatum in Trollhättan, Uppsala Innovation Centre in Uppsala and Arctic Business in Luleå. These four have a long standing relationship from also operating ESA BIC Sweden on behalf of ESA, SNSA and Vinnova.

We connect and support high-potential innovations, startups and SMEs as they scale cutting-edge technologies into globally competitive, deployable, and investable businesses. We work at the intersection of innovation, capital, industry, and public stakeholders to ensure that ideas do not remain prototypes, and prototypes become commercially successful companies.

Space Sweden brings together five key parts of the ecosystem: founders and startups, corporates, investors, government and defence actors, and ecosystem leaders. By facilitating and building synergies between capital, demand, policy, and technical capability, we help accelerate pilots, partnerships, co-investment opportunities, and strategic collaborations that strengthen Sweden’s long-term competitiveness.

We guide startups, SMEs and scale-ups to capital, business advise, technical expertise, market insights, international networks, partners, customers and non-dilutive funding pathways. At the same time, we help corporates and public stakeholders source strategic innovation, investors access high-quality deal flow, and ecosystem actors coordinate support mechanisms.

Through structured collaboration, international connections, and ecosystem partners, Space Sweden work to make Sweden a competitive and commercially growing and dynamic space nation, built on scalable companies, strong partnerships, and long-term strategic alignment.
