Space Sweden Summit 2026 From Demands to Deals
On 8 October, Space Sweden Summit 2026 brought together 150 people from across the space sector in Stockholm, including industry representatives, public-sector organisations, investors and startups, to explore how space solutions can meet real needs and create business opportunities. Organised by Arctic Business and the Space Sweden team, with ESA BIC Sweden as co-organiser, this first Space Sweden Summit brought together perspectives from across the space ecosystem. Karin Nilsdotter from Innovatum Science Park moderated the day.
Innovation and industry demands
Fredrik Bruhn, Anne Lidgard and Ernesto Gutiérrez shared perspectives on commercialisation, innovation and the new space economy. GKN Aerospace, Saab, Ericsson, Forsway and FMV explored industry needs and opportunities, followed by a panel discussion on moving from demands to deals.
Antonio Sturiale from Thales Alenia Space offered a European perspective on future space value chains and opportunities for new suppliers and partnerships.
Space solutions for society
The Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency, Länsstyrelsen, KTH, SMHI, Region Stockholm and Total Digital highlighted applications ranging from civil defence and waste crime detection to climate data and railway safety.
From ambition to action
Renata Chlumska delivered the closing keynote, sharing reflections on courage, perseverance and turning ambition into results. Throughout the day, the exhibition, networking breaks and afterwork provided opportunities to connect and explore new collaborations.
Participant feedback
In the post-event evaluation, participants highlighted the value of meeting the space community, making new contacts and gaining concrete perspectives on the realities of the space business.
Thank you to all speakers, exhibitors and participants! Let’s build on these conversations and turn them into action.
